We just received a message from Monita:

There are now two more to be added to the February birthdays. Yesterday (February 8) Katie (Mark’s second daughter) and her husband, Jake Schroll welcomed Levi David  and Harper Marie. They were due in the middle of April but they admitted Katie to the hospital with high blood pressure with the hope of giving the babies steroids to strengthen their lungs but Katie developed pre-eclapsia which started to affect her kidneys so they performed a caesarean. Levi weighed 3 lbs. 11 oz. and Harper weighed 3 lbs. 8 oz. Not bad for being over two months early. I wonder what they would have weighed if they’d gone full term. Everyone is healthy and doing well.

Molly Zive is getting married to Steven Sacro on 2/22/22💖

Molly is Michelle Murphy Zive's eldest daughter (Marty and Monita's granddaughter)... Lots happening in their family! It reminded me of a great movie recommendation: Fisherman's Friends. It is great fun... all about fishermen who lived in Cornwall England and sang "Sea Shanties" and were discovered and became famous! (60's - 70's) My friend, Sandy is from Cornwall, and her niece was married on the beach in Port Isaac (where this was filmed) a few years back,  and had the Fisherman sing Sea Shanties on the beach at her wedding! True story!

50 years

January 27, 2022

Hard to believe that Dad has been gone 50 years... a solemn anniversary, for sure. 

I love this photo; one of my favorites of Dad swinging the golf club in the front yard of the La Mesa house! 

I picture him golfing in many gorgeous courses throughout the world...Ireland, Scotland, Augusta Georgia, Maui Hawaii, in Pebble Beach and of course... Torrey Pines! His choice! 

Rest in peace Dad... till we meet again! Gotcha Last and Love You More!💓

Dan emailed me this morning with this message:

"While cleaning up my browser website bookmarks, I noticed that the last post to the family blog was Reenie's request for prayers for Jan. I decided to tie off that thread with a post today. Feel free to share. The blog is open for business again! :-) Lots going on."  

Well... I am so rusty... I had to re-educate myself as to how to post!

Thanks, Dan for this  beautiful post!

I am taking a biospiritual workshop and the reminder was that we are made for relationships!

Though this is such a dark and challenging time... it is important to stay connected!

We offer our deepest condolences to not only Dan, but also to Lynn Weddington Welly, as her husband,  Michael passed away earlier this month. 

Dan sent me a video that his parish made as a tribute for the families of parishoners who passed this past year.
